Email setup

Setting up your email client

If you're an Abiliba customer, you'll need to setup your email client to access our mail server. Note that you cannot use these settings if you are not an Abiliba customer!

Getting email with IMap

Mail server mail.abiliba.net
Login This is your user-id and password.
User ID: Your full email account (you@your.domain)
Password: The password assigned by your mail admin
Authentication If your email program lets you set the authentication style, choose "CRAM-MD5" or "Login" (CRAM-MD5 is preferred).
Security If your email program offers a setting for "SSL" or "secure connection" you can select the option. Using a secure connection encrypts your email so that it can't be snooped while it's in transit. The secure connection also protects your login.

Getting email with Pop3

Mail server mail.abiliba.net
Login This is your user-id and password.
User ID: Your full email account (you@your.domain)
Password: The password assigned by your mail admin
Authentication If your email program lets you set the authentication style, choose "CRAM-MD5" or "Login" (CRAM-MD5 is preferred).
Security If your email program offers a setting for "SSL" or "secure connection" make sure that it is not selected. Secure connections are not currently available for POP3.

Getting email with Webmail

Click the "Webmail" tab above. Login using your full email ID and password. Webmail access is via a secure connection.

Sending email (SMTP)

Abiliba requires an authenticated connection for all outgoing email.

Mail server mail.abiliba.net
Port Change the port from the default to 587.
Login This is your user-id and password.
User ID: Your full email account (you@your.domain)
Password: The password assigned by your mail admin
